Bruce Ray Peters

Bruce Ray Peters Jr. age 62 passed away peacefully at his home in Albuquerque, NM on Sunday, February 5th, 2017 after a long battle with Diabetes while undergoing Dialysis treatments. Bruce was born on September 13, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Bruce Peters and Katherine Sandoval Begay. He is survived by his loving wife: Lena Peters; Daughter: LeAndra Madalena; Sons: Leander Peters, Lyle and Kyle Peters; Grand Children: Alliana Atencio, Ephraim Eyan Atencio, Nizhoni Atencio and Kee Atencio; Siblings: Benjamin "Rick" Peters, Christine Peters, Victoria Peters, Marthella Peters, Audrey Begay Rosado, Phyllis Bunny and Valentina Begay. Bruce graduated from Wingate High School in 1974 and served in the United States Army from 1974-1977 stationed in Germany as Private First Class and the U.S. National Guard from 1977-1978. Bruce was always full of life and had a great sense of humor. He always made people laugh with his funny analogies, fed people with his cooking, talked about his time in the Army with his Armory Crewmen and bull riding days including sharing his talent as an Artist with his drawings and Leather Stamping. Bruce worked as a Prep Cook in the late 80's before going on to be a Plumber Labor for Tuffy's Plumbing from 1987-1998 and prior to retiring working at Klines Auto Repairs. Bruce will greatly miss by his family and his numerous friends. Funeral Services will be at Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque - 225 San Mateo NE on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Burial will held in Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 pm located at 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501. Reception will follow burial at American Legion Post # 1 in Santa Fe - American Legion on 1601 Berry Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87505.
