Clinton, SC – Burnace Ray Bowers, Jr., 65 of Clinton, SC, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Hawkins County Medical Center. He was born in Wise County, VA and had lived most of his life in South Carolina. He was a welder by trade. He was preceded in death by his father, Burnace Ray Bowers, Sr.; sisters, Zona Louise Bowers and Diana Sebesta; brothers, Norman and Sam Bowers. Burnace is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Bowers; grandson, Avery Sims; mother, Mary Ethel Bowers; sisters, Correna Bowers, Kay Williams, Lisa Harber and Karla Hingle; special friend, Jean Hicks; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jack Edwards officiating. A military graveside service will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park where the American Legion Hammond Post #3/265 will conduct the rites.
