Burton Brown

Burton Brown Sr. On the evening of Wednesday, September 25, 2019, God stretched out his hand and called home his good and faithful servant, Burton Lyle Brown, Sr., to serve with him in heaven. Burton, the youngest son of Leonard and Susan (nee Lauver) Brown, was born on January 8, 1933, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He married his wife, Berna Brown, on June 23, 1968, in Dallas, Oregon, and moved to Eugene shortly thereafter. Burton and Berna celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. Burton was passionate about spending time with family. He thoroughly enjoyed being with his grandchildren whenever the chance arose. In addition, he always enjoyed traveling by car to various places and taking in the scenery. Burton was very patriotic and was extremely proud of his family members’ service in the US Military. Burton is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Leonard and Wilfred Brown, and sisters Victoria Brown, Letha Pepper, Lois Flowers, and Susan Johnston. Left waiting in the wings to cherish his memory are his wife, Berna, daughters Tanya (Bradley) and Wendi, son Lyle (Lillian), grandchildren Evie (Marcos), Ashley (Roland), Sydney (Athena), Laura (Kenny), Jonathan and Landon, and great granddaughter Addison. Burton’s memorial service will be held at 2pm on October 1st, 2019, at Allison Park Church, 1520 Echo Hollow Road, Eugene, Oregon. Arrangements have been made by West Lawn Memorial Park.
