Burton "Barney" Lee Pelz
July 27th, 1948 - June 2nd, 2017
PELZ, Burton Lee "Barney", 68, passed away on June 2, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Barney was born on July 27, 1948. He is survived by his wife, Laura; sons and daughters-in-law, Ryan and Rachel Pelz and Adam and Brittany Pelz; grandchildren, Caleb, Mason, Zoe, Josh and Abby Pelz; mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Erdmann; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Norma and Gus Laughman and many other family members and friends. Barney was preceded in death by his son, Zach Pelz; his father, Albert Pelz and his stepfather, Rudy Erdmann. Barney worked as an electrician and was a member of IBEW Local 570 for nearly 50 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and, most of all, spending time with his family in the White Mountains. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. Our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful people in the healthcare field who have cared for Barney and provided so much love and support. Donations can be made to Peppi's House Inpatient Unit TMC Hospice, a non-profit organization. In lieu of flowers, the family reminds you to eat healthy, exercise, and above all, be kind.
