Caitlin Mackenzie Flanagan
April 28th, 2000 - July 21st, 2019
Caitlin Mackenzie Flanagan, of Tucson, Arizona departed this life on July 21, 2019. Caitlin was born April 28, 2000 in Tucson, Arizona to her loving parents Shawn Flanagan and Marcy Flanagan. Caitlin was very close to her brother, Shawn Flanagan, Jr, as they were born a short 15 months apart. Caitlin was a 2018 graduate of Cienega High School. She was preparing for her sophomore year and a new apartment at the University of Arizona, studying in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Caitlin enjoyed working at Southwest Modeling and Talent Agencies and had just begun a new job at El Charro. Caitlin’s infectious smile and laughter brought joy to anyone in her presence and served her well in her work. Caitlin possessed a kind spirit and the love she gave was pure and genuine. She loved spending time with her friends and family, and her mission was to make others happy. Caitlin enjoyed travel and adventures. She also loved to hike Sabino Canyon. Caitlin was an avid lover of dogs, her pets meant the world to her. Caitlin will be missed by anyone who had the great fortune of knowing her. Caitlin is survived by her parents and brother, as well as paternal grandparents Robert and Mary Anna Cleveland; maternal grandparents Linda Reeves, William (Tony) and Jo-Ellen Reeves, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Caitlin was predeceased by both her paternal grandfather, Daniel Flanagan and her aunt, Angela Reeves. A celebration of Caitlin’s life will be held Saturday, July 27th at St. Francis de Sales, 1375 S. Camino Seco, Tucson, AZ 85710, with a viewing from 8:30 to 9:30am, followed by a service from 10:00 to 11:00am. Please join the family for a reception from 11:30am to 2:00pm. A fund has been established in her honor https://www.gofundme.com/caitlins-memorialexpense-fund. One of her favorite quotes was, “Paradise isn’t a place, it’s a feeling”. Being around Caitlin was a feeling of paradise for her loved ones. She carried herself with passion and grace, and to know her was to admire her. We will hold onto our memories of Caitlin until we are reunited, her wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
