Candace Lee Shiver-Albright

Candace 63 surrounded by her family and friends, passed away of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis on April 2, 2016 at their Lacey Home. Candace was born August 21, 1952 in Bend, Oregon to Richard L. and Myra M Churchill-Shivers. She grew up in Prineville, Oregon, graduating in 1970 from Crook County High School. Candace served as a Corpsman for the US Navy from 1973-1976. She moved to Elma, WA and lived there from 1991-2005. While living in Elma she attended Grays Harbor Community College in Aberdeen, WA. In 1998 she received her Nursing degree. She later graduated with an Associate’s degree in Longview, WA from Lower Columbia community College. Candace worked as a Registered Nurse for Hospice for Providence Home Health Care & Hospice in Olympia and Everett, WA. She retired from Hospice in 2013 when she became ill. She lived in Everett, Washington from 2009-2012, retiring to Olympia when she fell ill in 2013. Candace enjoyed reading, 4-H dogs, Plaster craft, cuddling with her Tea Cup Chihuahua dog Keesha, Reiki and other spiritual healing techniques and Shamanic Practice. She was a member of 4-H and Spiritual Woman’s Circle. Her family and friends will remember her for her spirituality, honesty, straight forwardness, kind heartedness, loving, and a great sense of humor as well as being funny. She lived each day to the fullest, Namaste’. Candace will be greatly missed by her Dog Keesha Cher Co, Son Luke and his children Candi Unis, Myra and Penelope of Olympia, WA,; Daughter Lisa Unis and her children Tara Graves, Arlington, WA and Marley & Reagan Davis of Lacey, WA. Her brother Larry Shivers, Prineville, OR, Sisters Ann Shivers-Duffield (Jim) and Sister in law Patty Shivers (Her deceased brother Rick’s wife), and Friends that were her family: Rhonda, Dodie, Jordan and Fran. She was preceded in death by her Father Richard Lamar Shivers and brother Rick Shivers.
