Carfey Doggett

Mr. Carfey Moore Doggett, 94 of Summerfield passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010. A memorial service will held at 2:00 pm May 23 at First Baptist Church of Summerfield with Reverend Roger Barricks officiating. Mr. Doggett was born November 2, 1915 in Summerfield to the late John Clark and Carrie Belle Doggett of Summerfield. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Summerfield and a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his loving wife, Ruby Doggett, a daughter Faye Calloway and a brother, J. Frank Doggett. Survivors include a son Clark Doggett and wife Jane, a son-in-law; Bruce Calloway; three granddaughters; Beth Kaplan and husband Brooks, Mary Doggett, Elaine Thomas and husband Jeff; three grandsons; John Doggett and wife Angie, Matthew Doggett and wife Amber, Erick Calloway and wife Megan; one great granddaughter Alexie Doggett, and four great grandsons; Austin Doggett, Eli Thomas, Cooper Thomas, Garrett Robinson-Doggett. In lieu of flowers memorials contributions may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church of Summerfield. Special thanks are offered to Countryside Manor in Stokesdale and Dr. David Kaplan for their excellent and compassionate care giving to Mr. Doggett. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
