Carl L Cary

July 11th, 1935 - March 19th, 2024

Carl Louis Cary of Fort Collins, Colorado (born in Van Houton, New Mexico) passed through the gates of heaven on March 19th, 2024, joining his wife, Mary Pauline Cary. Carl was the second of 6 children, Gracie, Marvin, Janet, Arnold and Glen Robert. He is survived by his 3 sons, Joe and Doug Cary of Fort Collins and Ed Cary (married to Cindy Cary) of Highlands Ranch; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.

He married the love of his life in March of 1959 and together with her raised their 3 sons. After all 3 sons moved out, he raised his hunting dogs, Hilda and Gus, toting them everywhere he went and he showed them the same love he had for his children.

Carl loved telling stories to anyone who would listen, and making people laugh. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and carried a deep passion for all things involving aviation. Carl served in the United States Army in the 11th Airborne unit, and maintained a successful roofing company for a great number of years before retiring. His genius on the banjo and guitar and anything encompassing blues and singing, will be exceedingly missed, but still enjoyed, as Carl passed his proficiency and love for music and arts along to his sons.

Carl loved his family and friends, helped anyone he could, and gave the greatest of advice. He will be deeply missed and eternally loved by all that knew him.
