Carl R. Ernest

"Belchertown, Carl R. Ernest, 73, died peacefully on Friday, August 9 at Wingate at South Hadley. Born in Trenton, NJ, December 12, 1939, he has lived in Belchertown since 1977. During his working career he was a supervising construction engineer for US Steel in Pennsylvania for many years. He worked in that capacity for other companies prior to retiring. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 51 years, Brooke (Warner) Ernest, as well as Brooke's sister and brother in law MeriLea and William Miller of Canton, GA. A Memorial Mass will be Thursday, August 15 at St. Francis Church in Belchertown. Friends may pay respects to his family at the church from 9:30 – 10:00 a.m. preceding the mass. For those wishing, donations may be made in his memory to St. Francis Church Building Fund, Box 612, Belchertown, 01007.
