Carl Julius Hendrickson

Carl Julius Hendrickson 94, of Greeley passed away January 9, 2016 at Fairacres Manor. He was born on November 16, 1921 on a farm east of Eaton, Colorado to Julius and Jennie (Carlson) Hendrickson. A lifelong resident of Weld County, he graduated from Eaton High School in the Class of 1939. On September 1, 1947 he married Lorraine Nelson. They had three sons. Carl farmed in the Eaton area for thirty years with his brother John. For the next 16 years he was employed by the Production Credit Association as Assistant Vice President and field representative. Carl was very involved in the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton since birth. He held the office of elder, (was Elder Emeritus), church chairman, and deacon, helped start the Mission’s Board in the 40’s amongst other responsibilities at the church and the Rocky Mountain District Board. He was a Gideon and served on the board of "Youth for Christ”. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lorraine; three sons, Steve (Deb) of Castle Rock, Alan (Cathy) and Mark (Martha) of Greeley. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren as well as numerous cousins (here in the US and in Sweden), nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his parents; his five siblings; a niece and nephew. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 5-7 pm at Adamson Chapel, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley. Private family graveside memorial will be followed by a "Celebration of Life” service at the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 1:30 pm. Memorials may be made to the "Evangelical Free Church of Eaton Mission Board” or the "Billy Graham Evangelistic Association” in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Service, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
