Carlos Alberto Oliveros

Rev. Carlos Alberto Oliveros, 78, met Jesus on March 13th, 2018. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held at 5:30PM Monday March 19, 2018 at First Christian Church, 1130 N. Main Street, Kernersville, NC with Pastor Dr. Pete Kunkle and Rev. Manuel Urieta officiating. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday March 20, 2018 at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mt. Airy. He is survived by his wife Jean Chappell Oliveros; daughters Olinda Oliveros Branch and her husband Allen of Kernersville and Nancy Oliveros Kessinger of High Point; grandchildren Kinza Branch Kirkman and Robert, Jeffrey Branch, Olivia Kessinger, and Alexandra Kessinger; siblings, Buenaventura Oliveros, Marcel Oliveros and wife Marlene, Gladys Oliveros, Euclides Oliveros and wife Nohemi, Marlene Ayala and husband Arcesio, Aristides Oliveros, Ana Campo and husband Nestor, Sara Oliveros, Jahel Gomez and Humberto, and William Oliveros. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Maria Oliveros, and a son Carlos Edwin Oliveros. Carlos is a graduate of Cristalina Bible Institute, Seminario Biblico de Colombia in Medellin, GTCC in Greensboro, NC, and Asbury College in KY. He did working mission trips to Mexico, Brazil, Puerto Rico, and Guatemala. Carlos pastored several churches in Colombia, Hispanic ministries at Woodland Baptist in Winston Salem, NC, Union Grove in Kernersville, NC, Groveton Baptist in Alexandria, VA, and Union Cross Hispanic Mission in Kernersville, NC. He held many jobs teaching Spanish in private schools and to government officials as well as counseling in addiction programs and other ministries.
