Carmen E. Tapia

Carmen E. Tapia, passed away at 11:11 pm on Wednesday July 20, 2016. She was 90 years old. Carmen died at home in Arlington, Va surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grand children, and great-great grandchildren. She was born in Peru to Adolfo Reyes and Benedicta Sanchez on December 10th, 1925. Carmen enjoyed soccer, she was a fan of the Sport Boys del Callao. She owned two soccer teams in Callao. One team named in honor of her late husband, Manuel Tapia, and the other team Celso Moscoso. Carmen was a very lively person, she was known for throwing grand block parties in Callao. She loved music and dancing and enjoyed socializing. Carmen was a very giving person. Through her generosity, she was able to affect many lives. Abuelita Coco, as she was lovingly known, will always be loved and remembered by her family. Funeral services will be held on Sunday July 24th from 2pm to 8pm at Advent Funeral and Cremation Services at 7211 Lee Hwy Falls Church VA 22046. Her burial services will be held at Pleasant Valley Memorial Park at 1pm. 8420 Little River Tnpk Annandale, VA 22003. Carmen E. Tapia , falleció a las 11:11 horas del Miércoles 20 de Julio del 2016. Ella tenía 90 años . Carmen murió en su casa en Arlington, Virginia , rodeada de su amada familia. Dejando a sus hijos, nietos, bisnietos y tataranietos su legado. Ella nació en Perú el 10 de Diciembre de Adolfo Reyes y Benedicta Sánchez . Carmen disfrutó del futbol y era fan del Sport Boys del Callao. Ella fue fundadora de dos equipos de futbol en el Callao, uno de ellos llamado así en honor a su difunto esposo, Manuel Tapia y el otro equipo Celso Moscoso. Carmen era una persona muy alegre , era conocida y pionera por realizar grandes festivales de barrio en el Callao cerrando las calles y celebrando con las mejores orquestas del callao. Ella amaba la música y el baile y disfrutó de la socialización. Carmen era una persona muy generosa. A través de su generosidad, ella fue capaz de cambiar muchas vidas. Abuelita Coco como siempre la llamabamos siempre será amada y recordada por toda su familia. Los servicios funerales seran realizados el Domingo Julio 24 de 2:00-8:00pm en Advent Funeral y Cremation Services en 7211 Lee Hwy Falls Church VA 22046.
