Carol M Adams
March 30th, 1965 - December 15th, 2018
Obituary Carol M. Adams (Gonzo) March 30 1965-December 15, 2018 Carol passed away after over a two year battle with cancer, surrounded by family and loved ones at home. Born in Cape Cod hospital in Barnstable, MA, lived in Welfleet Mass until 1968, moved to Dennis, MA, and then in 1978 moved to Harwich, MA. Carol was a part of the graduating class of 1983. Carol took classes at Cape Cod Community College. She was an amazing waitress at the Coffee Cup in Dennisport, MA for many years. In 1991 she moved out to Colorado, to then move on to Arizona, where she made it her home. She was a cook at Mother Hubbard in Tuscon, and many other restaurants. It was there in Tuscon that she met her soulmate of 25 years, Henry Vandermyde. In 2008, the greatest joy came to her heart when Damien became a part of her and Henry's life. Carol's smile could light up any room, and just as bright as her smile was her choice of bright, tie-dye colored clothing. She was very passionate about music, often going to concerts, and as a child she and her brother, Robert, loved to write down the lyrics and continued to do so until the end of her life. Her love of animals and to help any of God's creatures inspired her to do selfless deeds such as hand-feeding kittens. In her two year battle with cancer, she fought bravely but never let it stop her from spending time with loved ones, as she went on several adventures both big and small, and made great memories. In March 2018, she went zip-lining over the safari in Out of Africa with her sister Heather, brother in law Matt, and the light of her life, her son Damien. Carol is survived by her soulmate, Henry Vandermyde, her son Damien Adam Vandermyde, her parents Robert A. and Jean Adams of Harwich, MA, her siblings Robert W. Adams of Kingsland GA, Heather Watts (Matthew) of Harwich, MA and John F. Adams of Harwich, MA, her niece Maisie Watts, and nephews Matthew Watts, Nicolas Adams, Justin Adams, Travis Adams. The family would like to invite anyone to the celebration of Carol's life on Febuary 24, at 1:30-4:30, South Chatham Village Hall, 2356, Route 28, Chatham, Mass.
