Carol Lynn Cozart, 53, of Dungannon, Va. Went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at her home. Born in Broward County, Fl. on October 12, 1965, Carol lived there until she moved to Dungannon when she was a teenager. She worked at Food City for several years, and later as the Town Manager of Dungannon for many years. She is preceded in death by her father, Key Pittman Cozart; mother, Betty Lou West Cozart; sister, Anita Susan Cozart; and son, Matthew Logan Sweeney. Survivors include her son, Dwayne Todd Cozart; daughter, Lacy Cheyenne Sweeney; granddaughters, Isabella Grace Cozart, Kalynn Faith Cozart, and Olivia Jane Sweeney; brother, , James Blevins-Garcia; her cousins who were more like siblings Judy Archer and Cindy Blevins; her friend and father of her daughter, Jeff Sweeney; her sister-wife, Melissa Sweeney; her lifelong friend, Nikki Kern; god children, Honi B. Gibson and Stanley Laney; her special friend, Amanda Lucas; and her two extra grandkids, Elizabeth Wells and Maggie Webb. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 19, 2019 from 5pm to 7pm at First Baptist Church of Dungannon (18741 Veterans Memorial Highway, Dungannon, VA 24245). A funeral service will follow with Dr. Todd Castle and Rev. Larry Beavers officiating. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 11am at the Osborne Family Cemetery in Dungannon, Virginia. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50am. Carter Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Cozart Family.
