Carol A. Drankus
September 5th, 1945 - December 23rd, 2020
Carol Ann Drankus (Kempka) Age 75 passed away, peacefully, December 23rd 2020. Carol was born September 5th, 1945 in Milwaukee to David and Sophia Kempka (Adams). Best friend and sister to Barbara and brother, David. Carol was a loving wife and survived by James Drankus, husband of 55 years. Carol was the best mom to her four children, Ted (Jodi), Lisa (Bill), Amy (Matt) and Tim (Michelle). She was adored by her 10 Grandchildren, Jordan, Tyler (Emily), Jared, Billy (Allison), Brandyn and as she would say, “All the A names” Alexis, Autumn, Ashlyn, Aubrey and Sawyer. Carol became a Great Grandmother to Jagger 4 days before she passed, and has another on the way in June. Carol graduated from Custer High School and then moved on to Beauty School where she earned her Beautician license. She practiced until she had her first born, Ted and then decided to be a homemaker, raising her kids and spending time doing fun things with them. Once the kids grew she helped out at a few local schools in the lunchroom and office, worked in an area sandwich shop and retail. Carol and Jim enjoyed and made it a priority to make it to all of the Cross Country and Track meets their four children competed in. Cheering all the kids on and making treats for all to enjoy. Carol loved camping in the summers with her family, biking, hiking, putzing in the yard, watching the birds and “chippies” and enjoying the sunshine. Carol was a super shopper always excited for the hunt, the kids needed something and couldn't find it, she was on it until she was successful. Carol was welcomed to heaven by her beloved Grandson Jared, Mother, Father and Stepmother Virginia. We will miss her beautiful smile, sense of humor, great laugh, warm hugs and her cute voice saying “I love you Honey/Dear”. We Love You Mom! Thank You for the wonderful life you gave us all. A private family visitation and private service will take place on January 9th.
