Carol J. Rogers, widow of Thomas M. Rogers passed away June 12, 2024. She was a resident of Rossmoor in Walnut Creek, California. Carol was born July 20, 1935 in San Carlos, Arizona to Floyd & Delphia Boyd. She loved growing up on the San Carlos Apache reservation with her sister Betty. She was proud of her heritage and had many stories and memories of that time which included hunting and fishing. She has said the move her parents made from South Dakota to Arizona was a great blessing to her. She looks back to a father and mother that provided her with loving care, wonderful memories and the great joy of a happy childhood. She worked for many years side by side with her husband in the latter part of his dental practice. Carol loved to watch sports on TV and had her favorite players and teams. Her family will always remember her as a wonderful cook and an organized person. She did a crossword puzzle almost every day.

She is survived by children, Debbie Smith and Doug Rogers, 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and sister Betty Waddell. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas Rogers, son in law Paul Smith, and grandson Aaron Smith.

Burial will be at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California.

Oak Park Hills Chapel has proudly served families throughout Contra Costa County, California, for over 60 years. Our business' history begins when Roger Magleby, who was a pioneer in air-sea scatterings and a pilot, established our business in what was once a military medical staging and processing building for Camp Stoneman in Pittsburg, California. Ever since, we've had a special relationship with our military families and we are proud to be certified as Veterans Funeral Specialists.
