Carol Marie Roundy

CAROL M. ROUNDY age 69 of Jefferson passed away Wednesday May 26, 2010 at Countryside Nursing Home. She was born on March 30, 1941, daughter of the late LeRoy and Edith (Waydick) Zick. She married Charles R. Roundy on June 27, 1959 in Columbia, Wisconsin, he preceded her in death on December 30, 1997. She was employed with the Jefferson School District as a Cook in the Food Service Department at West Elementary, and at the High School for 25 years. She was also a Crossing Guard for the School for 10 years. Carol also served as a volunteer as a gym teachers aid at St. John's Lutheran School in Jefferson. Carol loved people, she enjoyed visiting, and talking to everyone especially the students that she met at the schools throughout the years. She was well known at "Mrs. R" and the kids knew that she would be quick to listen to their stories and she gave out some good advice to many. She enjoyed reading, and taking walks, and was a loyal Elvis fan. She also sold B Line Clothing for many years. She is survived by three daughters; Gail Kellerman of Oak Creek, Cheryl Roundy (Slick Kirschbaum) of Jefferson Khristy (Geno) Johnson of Fort Atkinson Two sons; Todd (Rick Cobett) Roundy of Jefferson Jason Roundy of Jefferson Four grandchildren Two sisters; Delores (Mike) Christianson of Arkansas Vicki (Dave) DeBolt of Oxford, Wisconsin Six brothers; LeRoy (Marlene) Zick of Jefferson, Doug (Vicki) Zick of Johnson Creek Morris Zick of Jefferson, Duane Zick of Madison, Bill Zick of Sullivan, Joe Zick of Jefferson Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday May 28, 2010 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Comstock officiating, burial will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday May 29, 2010 at the Rock River Cemetery in Jefferson. Friends may greet the family on Friday evening at the Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00p.m. The family suggests memorial be made to Jefferson Rainbow Hospice in Carol's name
