Carol A. Swistak

Palmer-Carol A. Swistak, 82, of Maple St passed away at Chestnut Hill Nursing Home on October 11, 2023. She was employed at Big Y for 20 years and enjoyed seeing her friends at the store while she worked. Carol enjoyed going to St. Thomas Church every Saturday and attending many of the dinners after Mass with her friends. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley. She leaves her brother, Ed and his wife Nancy of Marston Mills, two daughters, Karen Barna and Susan Pajak, both of Springfield as well as her son, John and his wife, Wendy of Ware. Carol had 5 grandchildren, Scot, Dylan, Christopher, Kyle and John. She also leaves 3 great granddaughters, Eva, Emma and Maddie. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 6 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home with a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Kidney Fund, American Cancer Society or the organization of your choice.
