Carol Jean Taylor

August 9th, 1943 - April 17th, 2024

In Loving Memory

Carol Jean Taylor, 80 years of age, born on August 9, 1943, in Sturgeon Bay, WI, and passed away on April 17, 2024, in Aurora, CO, was a figure of steadfast dedication and warmth, whose legacy is a testament to her nurturing spirit and unwavering commitment to her family and community.

As we reflect on Carol's life, it is with a deep sense of respect and admiration for the journey she embarked upon, the lives she touched, and the memories she leaves behind.

Carol's early years in Sturgeon Bay laid the foundation of a life characterized by resilience and hard work. After completing her education at Sturgeon Bay  High School, Carol embarked on a career path that saw her dedicating over six years of service to the United States Postal Service as a Postal Mail Sorter. Her dedication to her role was evident in her meticulous attention to detail and the pride she took in contributing to the community’s connectivity through her work. Beyond her professional life, Carol had an affinity for the serene beauty of Thomas Kinkade’s artistry and the simple joy of flowers. These interests were reflective of her nature; just as a painter brings color and light to canvas, Carol brought warmth and light to the lives of those around her. Family was the cornerstone of Carol’s life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Austin Taylor; her parents, Frank and Blanche Honold; her sister Katherine; her grandparents, Carl and Josephine Braun and Charles and Cora Honold; and her niece, Lisa Stich. Her absence will be profoundly felt by her loving daughter Terri Moore; Siblings,  Marlene (LeRoy) Hofmeister, Roger (Betty) Honold; Eileen (Don) Soukup; and the many nieces and nephews.

In honoring Carol's memory, we recall not just the roles she fulfilled but the love she shared and the grace with which she maneuvered through life’s challenges. Though her physical presence is no longer among us, her spirit—a beacon of love, resilience, and nurturing—will forever linger in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.  Her legacy is one of love, dedication, and a life beautifully lived. Carol's memory will be cherished and celebrated as we hold tight to the moments shared, the lessons learned, and the warmth she bestowed upon us all.
