Caroline Moorer Gaskin

October 9th, 1937 - June 24th, 2023

Caroline Moorer Gaskin, 85, entered into eternal rest on June 24, 2023, at her home in West Columbia, SC. Born in Sandy Run, SC, she was a daughter of the late Montague F. and Carrie R. Moorer. Caroline graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School in Lexington County and retired from the Wachovia Bank. We will miss her love of family and her determination to never give up and to keep moving forward. Caroline is survived by her daughter, Renee Gaskin; her grandson, Trey Browder (Jennifer); two granddaughters and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Margaret Ellis, Shelby Lockman, Beulah Hanson (Carl), Leola Burch (Woody), Bobby Moorer, Paullette Moorer, Harriette Holsinger, Joyce Sawyer, Raymond Moorer, and Walter Moorer (Theresa); and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family will receive friends at the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Rd. Lexington, SC 29072 on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 1:00-2:00pm. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the Mausoleum Chapel. Interment will be in Woodridge Memorial Park. The Pallbearers for her service will be: Trey Browder, Darryl Moorer, Ricky Murphy, Michael Lockman, Corky Sawyer and Brent Burch. The family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers at MSA Hospice in Columbia, SC and S.C. Oncology for their care and attentiveness to Caroline and her family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to MSA Hospice, 166 Stoneridge Dr. Ste. 100, Columbia, S.C. 29210.
