Caroline Ross Hazelton

Mrs. Hazelton passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren in Charlotte, NC. Caroline was born in Charlotte, NC on December 30th, 1933 to the late Dr. Thomas Ross and the late Marguerite Ritch Ross. She is survived by four children: Everett Hazelton, III (Terri), Thomas Hazelton (Kathy), Carol Fincher (Chip), and David Hazelton (Sandra), and the late Vivian Easterling (Don), and her late husband, Everett Hazelton, II (Buddy), along with 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Caroline graduated in 1952 from Old Central High School in Charlotte, NC and worked at Brown & Glenn Realty for over 30 years before retiring in 2003. Caroline had an unwavering faith, southern charm, and she was truly dedicated to her family and friends. She was strong-willed and very determined to be the best bridge player, and she was always considered the best card player around. Her greatest joy in life was to be around her family and friends and to talk about the "Old Times". She enjoyed traveling, reading, and most of all, she loved old movies. She was so proud to be a Charlottetean! The family is grateful for the love and support received over the last 3 years from family, friends, and caregivers, including Hospice. A funeral service to honor her life will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, December 4th, 2022 at Tribute & Tallent Funerals & Cremations, located at 1937 N. Sharon Amity Rd., Charlotte, NC. The family will have a reception immediately following the service in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent in her honor to The American Cancer Society, located at 1901 Brunswick Ave., #100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
