Caroline O. Lang
January 4th, 1925 - June 13th, 2015
Mrs. Caroline O. Lang, 90, of Lang Dr. died peacefully on Saturday June 13, 2015 following a brief illness with her family at her side. A lifelong area resident, Caroline was born on January 4, 1925 in Amsterdam, NY the daughter of the late William and Laura Hanson Olmstead. She was a 1940 graduate of Fultonville High School and later went on to attend the Amsterdam Business School. On July 27, 1943 she was united in marriage to Edward Lang. In 2013 they celebrated 70 years of marriage. Following her marriage, Caroline was a homemaker and served as the Commissioner of Jurors for Montgomery County for 31 years. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband Ed; her children Edward "Billy" Lang and his wife Mary of Jacksonville, Fl. And Charleen Strain of Glen, NY; two sisters, Laura NewKirk and Betty McLachland; three grandchildren James Lang, Trenton Strain and Perry Strain. It was Caroline's request that there be no formal services. In lieu of flowers or monetary donations, she requested that a random act of kindness to someone in need would carry out her legacy. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St. Fultonville, NY. Please visit the on-line guestbook at www.brbsfuneral.com
