Carolyn Marie Felgenhauer

November 4th, 1944 - August 8th, 2024

Carolyn Marie Felgenhauer, 79, of Meridian, Idaho, passed away peacefully on the morning of August 8, 2024.

Born November 4, 1944, in Weiser, Idaho, she was the middle child of five children. After graduating High School, she attended nursing school. While studying to become a nurse, she met the brother of one of her classmates and in 1968, she married him. Together with her new husband, Norman Felgenhauer, they embarked on their adventures together. With multiple moves throughout the State of Idaho through the years and three children in tow, they finally found their forever home in Meridian, Idaho.

In 1990, Carolyn graduated from Boise State University with her Certification as a Surgical Tech and spent then next 20+ years in that and various other roles at St. Lukes Regional Medical Center in Boise. Once she retired, she stayed busy with her support for her church, Holy Apostles in Meridian, Idaho and their charities, her travels to Europe and throughout the States seeing the sights and visiting with family whenever possible. Carolyn enjoyed attending Boise State University basketball games with her children and grandchildren as a season ticket holder. She enjoyed spending time with her neighbors and friends for their lunches and get togethers as well as her constant support for her grandchildren, always making time for their soccer and basketball games, cheering them on louder than anyone.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; daughter, Lori; parents, Charles M and Margaret Henggeler; older brother, Eugene (Gene) Henggeler; and her youngest brother, Leo Henggeler.

Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of love and adoration. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Felgenhauer; son, Brian (Jennifer) Felgenhauer; grandchildren: Trevor, Zakery, Colton, Alex, and Lane; sister, Margaret Joan Henggeler; brother, James (Suzann) Henggeler; sister-in-laws: Ginger (Gene) Henggeler; and Lisa (Leo) Henggeler; godmother, aunt Louise Palumbo; along with many beloved: nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and their families; each one as important to her as the next and who will all miss her terribly.

The family would like to express their gratitude to those special nurses and CNA's who cared for Carolyn in her final days and weeks as if she was their own.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 6300 N Meridian Road, Meridian, Idaho, 83646. A Rosary will be held at 10:00 AM. Accent Funeral Home

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve.

Carolyn was an amazing cousin, friend, and when the 4 of us were younger, a great babysitter. She was always there for us even after she and Norm got married. And then he tables were turned and I babysat Lori, Nikki, and Brian. I have so many memories of this amazing lady and am very proud to have been able to call her not only family, but a life long friend. You will be dearly missed, Carolyn, but I know you're in a better place with lots of family. What a Henggeler/Campo reunion they're having right now 🙏❤️😊‼️
