Akin Davis Funeral Home - LaBelle
Carolyn B. Gale
November 18th, 1936 - March 28th, 2012
Carolyn Downing Gale, age 75, of Moore Haven and Port Charlotte passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in Clewiston, FL. Carolyn was born November 18, 1936 in Valdosta, GA. She is the daughter of the late Ual Burton and the late Bertha (Barker) Downing. She is survived by her husband; Phillip E. Gale, sons; Rick Sutler and Frank Sutler, daughters; Lisa Foster and Shelia Gale, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Greg Sutler. Carolyn was an amazing woman who loved to dance. She could shake and shimmy to any tune. When you watched her dance, you immediately wanted to be on the dance floor if you could dance or not. Thank goodness the game of Scrabble came out. The game scrabble was the beginning, in the middle she loved bowling and she finished with darts. In between she fell in love with washers.no not washing machines..Bingo was another one. No one shouted Bingo like Carolyn. If Carolyn hear these words.."Do ya wanna go fishin'?" she had her cane pole ready in seconds. Luckily for her the fish in Moore Haven have been well fed for the past 10 years. If there was an award for best party thrower, Carolyn would be at the top of the nominee list. She was the greatest. No one left one of her parties with a frown..well maybe a frown because she told you it was time to go, by far the hostess with the mostest. When her children started falling in love, she became the luckiest girl in the world. Can you ever have too many family members? If you loved one of her children you were part of the family.no questions asked.there was a place at the table for you. If you met Carolyn you were her friend..could you have too many of those? She was covered from sea to sea.and I think she has all seven covered! If would be dull somewhere but as soon as Carolyn opened the door, the room would fill with light. Heavens electric bill just went down. One of the Lords brightest lights just got home. We will always love you and most of all never forget you. Thanks for making all of our lives a little brighter. . .
