Carolyn Lanette Lederer A celebration of the life of Carolyn Lederer, 74 of Chico will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 4798 Songbird Ln. in Chico. Carolyn passed away on March 6, 2016 in Chico. She was born on October 18,1941 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Winifred Juanita and James Riley Hardgrave. Carolyn attended Hillcrest Nursing School. She also served in the U.S. Army. Carolyn married Roger Lederer. They later divorced. Carolyn worked at Chico Community Hospital as an ER Nurse. She would rescue dogs. She enjoyed watching Star Trek, CSI shows and shopping with her granddaughter Olivia Calvin. Carolyn is survived by daughter Melinda Calvin of Chico, son Joe Lederer of Tulsa, Ok., granddaughter Olivia Calvin of Chico, brother Tom and sister in-law Charlotte Hardgrave of Sandsprings, Ok., niece Sara and nephew Chris and ex-husband Roger Lederer of Chico. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Butte Humane Society in care of Brusie Funeral Home.
