Carolyn A. Riedel
November 30th, 1929 - April 9th, 2015
Carolyn A. Riedel, life-long resident of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 85. Carolyn was born on November 30, 1929 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Adolf and Beulah Bergmeister. She met then married William Riedel on September 21, 1951 and raised six children together. Carolyn worked 18 years at Waukesha Memorial Hospital as a Psychiatric Technician and then seven years at Medical Associates of Pewaukee as a Medical Receptionist. She found great joy in being a grandmother to her 14 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Carolyn enjoyed music, being with her friends, reading, traveling, sailing and spending the last 15 years with her friend, Leo Concotelli. She will always be remembered for her cow collection. Carolyn will be missed by her children, Robert (Cindy) Riedel, Scott (Holly) Riedel, Paula (Richard) Riehle, Deborah (Jerry) Gazinski, Joseph (Karen) and Sheri Pace; 14 grandchildren, Mandi, Angie, Alex, Erika, Stephanie, Rae, Cody, Clark, Maddie, Leah, Molly, Kelsie, Drew, Kenzie; one great-granddaughter, Aili; and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother and three sisters. The visitation for Carolyn will be held on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the 7:00 p.m. funeral service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI. 53188. Private family entombment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carolyn's name are appreciated to AngelsGrace Hospice, C/O Pro Health Care Foundation, W359 N7430 Brown St. Oconomowoc, WI. 53066. Carolyn's family would like to give a special thanks to all the staff and volunteers at AngelsGrace Hospice for the loving care they showed to their mother.
