Carolyn K Terry

Carolyn Kay "CK" Terry entered into eternal life on January 7th, 2017 in Las Vegas New Mexico. She was born January 17th, 1950 in Tucumcari NM to the late Milton and Veryl Terry. She attended San Jon Municipal School where she received many honors as a student as well as participating in many school activities. She made life long bonds in that little school with both family and friends. She attended Eastern New Mexico University where she received her degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Secondary Education in 1976. She worked as an English Professor at San Juan College in Farmington NM, and then went on to take a permanent teaching position for Kirtland Municipal Schools where she taught for many years. She continued her career in Las Vegas NM. Now happily retired Kay continued to substitute teach in Las Vegas NM. Aside from her passion for education Kay was always active. As a life long yogi there was always something to learn from her mind, body and soul. She ranked # 10 in the National Water Skiing Competition in San Francisco CA in 1968. She pursued a professional, successful skiing career in the early 1970's. Kay was a feminist and a women's rights activist. She had a deep passion for all thing on four legs. Her beloved dogs were a huge part of her family and life. She taught us many things, inspired us and provided so much love and laughter throughout our lives with her.
