Carolyn “Renee” Weekes passed away suddenly at the age of 63 at her home. She was born to her parents, Allen Jr. Weekes and Beverly Jean Lance Weekes on March 14, 1961 in Twin Falls, Idaho.
She started out her life in Eden, Idaho, then after a few moves settled in the Boise, Idaho area. She lived there all of her life until 2021 when her mother passed away. She, her brother, daughter and grandchild moved to the small community of Glenns Ferry, Idaho. They loved their small town life and didn’t mind at all getting away from the hustle bustle of the rapidly growing city life of Boise.
Renee was a cute little redhead. She only cut her hair a few times during her life and ended up with long beautiful red hair. She loved wearing ribbons in her hair when she was younger. When Renee was about 3 years old, she fell off her tricycle and broke her collar bone. All the way to the hospital and during the procedure, she was crying out, “I don’t want to! I don’t want to! over and over. Her Aunt Donna, who was 11 years old at the time, remembers that well. Renee loved music. She loved to dance and sing when no one was looking. There’s an inside story about that with her Aunt Donna that we laughed about many times.
Renee attended schools at Jackson Elementary, West Jr High and Borah High School. After high school, she decided to become a writer. She wrote great stories. They can be found on one of her facebook sites. She worked at Albertsons for about 37 years and Paul’s Market where she met many people and many lifetime friends. When they moved to Glenns Ferry, she got a job working for Southside Market. She was waiting for retirement papers to come through, had just received Medicaid and Social Security when she passed. She was really looking forward to retirement!
We would like to thank her daughter, Marissa, for keeping the household running and taking care of Renee with her health issues.

We Entrusted Carolyn Weekes's Care To
Rost Funeral Home
As the only funeral home in Elmore County, the staff at Rost Funeral Home work hard to be active members of the Mountain Home community and to be there to take care of families in every way possible when the need arises. Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
