Carolyn Zurn passed away peacefully on September 16, 2022. She was born in Monterey, CA on November 29, 1937 to Charles “Lester” Borchers and Alma Borchers. She lived in Pacific Grove, CA until moving to the Pacific Northwest in 1976. She worked as a beautician until retirement. Carolyn married Victor Zurn II in 1980. Together they operated a successful tree farm after retiring. This was a family business, and many years were spent working the farm and making new memories with family and friends. She was also a certified Master Gardener. She spent her free time gardening and sharing her love of plants with everyone. Her gardens were a sight to behold. She loved to travel and visited many new places with her husband, family and friends. Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband Victor. She is survived by her children Robbin Trenary (Mark), Ralph Nonella Jr (Patty), Pam Alhadi (Gene) and stepchildren Victor Zurn III, Greg Zurn (Debbie) and Christina Geisler, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Brenda Hibel and her brother Eric Borchers. The family would like to especially thank the caring staff at Family First. Also the amazing team of professionals with Envision Hospice. Together they all made moms days the best they could be. Carolyn’s life will be celebrated by a private family observance at a later time.
