Carrie Christine Ruiz
November 11th, 1968 - April 25th, 2016
Carrie Christine (Christiansen) Ruiz, wife of Larry Ruiz and mom to sons Zachary and Evan, passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2016. She joined Zachary and Evan’s beloved older brother, Caleb, in Heaven. Carrie was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, growing up in Louisiana, North Carolina, and Minnesota, especially enjoying the beautiful lakes and city of Minneapolis. She graduated from St. Thomas College in St. Paul studying Art and French. She met the love of her life, Larry, in Denver, CO. Carrie enjoyed camping trips with her family, vacations in Estes Park, and walks through the open spaces in and around Littleton and Highlands Ranch. She had natural talent for the arts from creating stained glass pieces to cupcake decorating and photography. In 2011 she began designing jewelry and started her own brand called Belac named after their first born baby, Caleb. Carrie was a warrior supporting other mothers who lost infants, participating in Littleton’s A Walk to Remember for a number of years, some where she and Larry took turns pushing their younger sons in a stroller and joined by many family members and friends. She was an inspiration to many. Carrie is survived by her loving husband, Larry, and sons, Zachary and Evan, parents Pat Christiansen of Centennial, CO and Cliff Christiansen of Jensen Beach, FL, brother Colin Christiansen and wife Colleen and children Longrie, Sophie, and Ruby of Sedgwick, ME, and In-laws Joe and Wendy Ruiz of Parker, CO, sister in-law Kathy Kathrein and children Adam and Kaylyn of Henderson, NV and sister in-law Amy Buoniconti and husband Mike, and children, Ryan, Lexi, Jacob, and Malayla. Carrie was predeceased by infant son, Caleb. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Carrie’s life at the PACE Center in Parker on Friday, April 29, 2016, 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please visit In Loving Memory of Carrie Ruiz where donations can be made: https://pages.giveforward.com/remembrance/page-22bjfy5/ Service Information
