CARRUTH "BUD" BACH Carruth Bach, 90 of Chico, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009 in Chico. Bud, as he was known, was born January 4, 1919 in Midland, Arkansas to Leo and Hattie Carruth Bach. He was a B-24 bomber pilot during World War II in the Army Air Corps and was the retired owner of a redwood lumber company. Bud married Geraldine House on June 20, 1941 in Wilmington, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Fay Dean Bach. He is survived by his wife, Gerri; a son, Michael Bach and his wife, Janette of Puyallup, Washington; a daughter, Karen Bach Myrdahl and her husband, Mark of Chico, CA; a sister, Alyene Bach Jackson of Antioch, CA; six grandchildren, Andrew Myrdahl, Melanie Myrdahl Davis, Jason Bach and Sara Bach Evick, James and Nathan Bickford; five great-grandchildren, McKenna Davis, Dax Myrdahl and Kasey Evick, Riley and Lilly Bickford. A chapel service with a graveside service to follow will be held in Hope Chapel at Forrest Lawn in Cypress, CA at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. In lieu of flowers ,memorial contributions may be made to Butte Home Health and Hospice, 10 Constitution Drive, Chico, CA 95973, c/o Brusie Funeral Home.
