Mrs. Avedisian was born November 2, 1948, daughter of the late Catherine Queen and Joseph Herbert Pero Jr. She grew up in Miami, Florida and graduated from the University of Georgia where she would meet her future husband, Gregg Avedisian. Catherine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Catherine loved to serve others but she particularly loved her grandchildren and was the best grandmother that anyone could wish for. She also loved to stay connected to her extended family and would look for opportunities to visit family members when she was traveling away from home. In addition to her husband, Gregg, Catherine is survived by her three children, Carrie Fallstrom and her husband, Matt of Dawsonville, GA, Joe Avedisian and his wife, Jodi of Leesburg, FL, and Andy Avedisian and his wife, Megyn of Birmingham, AL; six grandchildren, Jimmy and Josie Fallstrom, Olivia and Reese Avedisian and Michael and Drew Avedisian; three sisters, Penny Ott and her husband, Ron of Columbia, SC, Patty Pero of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Terry Jordan and her husband, Charles of Charlotte, NC; aunt and uncle, Joann and Charles Reynolds of Greensboro, GA, and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Catherine?s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Sharon Baptist Church.
