Catherine A. Busch

Mrs. Catherine A. Busch, 60, of Maple Avenue, Ballston Spa, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at home. Born on July 17, 1948 in Amsterdam, she was a lifelong area resident. Catherine attended schools in Burt Hills- Ballston Lake and was a graduate of Kawaj. Marshall Island High School in Hawaii. She also was a graduate of Mildred Elley Business School in Albany. Mrs. Busch worked for WCSS, The Recorder and the Montgomery County Office for the Aging before becoming a homemaker. On July 12, 1969 she was married to Richard Busch. Married for nearly 40 years, they raised a beautiful family and made their home in Amsterdam. In 1990 they moved to Saratoga County. Catherine enjoyed cooking, listening to Polka music and attending the Saratoga Racino. Above all she loved her family, and adored her grandsons. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, John Budka in 1952. Her loving family includes, her husband, Richard; her mother, Lottie Porembski and her husband Thaddeus of Jacksonville, FL; her children, Jeffrey Busch and his wife Sherrie of Cohoes, Kevin Busch of Rock City Falls and Lisa Milewski and her husband Christopher of Ballston Spa; two grandchildren, Patrick and Ryan; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 1st, 2008 at 11 o'clock at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 4 until 7 Thursday evening at the funeral home. The family requests that donations be made to an education fund for her grandsons in care of the funeral home office.
