Catherine A. Gorman

Catherine A. Gorman, (nee O'Donnell) of the Oak Valley section of Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Legacy Cass was born and raised in Philadelphia. She was a proud graduate of Hallahan High School for girls. She worked as a Nurses Aide for Underwood Memorial Hospital where she found reward in helping the ill back to health. Cass was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Queen of Peace #1398. Away from work, Cass enjoyed cooking and cake decorating, was always up to date on current political issues and was an avid fan of the Phillies & Eagles. She and Michael traveled cross country and got to see much of the great United States. Cass and her husband shared 60 years of marriage and raised two children that they adored. Cass will be remembered as a feisty woman who was not afraid to let her presence be known who loved her children, grandchildren and extended family. Family Catherine is the beloved wife of the late Michael Gorman, Sr.; cherished mother of Catherine Quinn and the late Michael Gorman, Jr.; loving grandmother of Thomas (Lauren), Michael & Joseph (Samantha); great grandmother of Keira, Kailee, Kallen, Taylor, Jayce & Tessa; beloved sister of Marie Portway, Thomas O'Donnell and the late, Joseph O'Donnell, John O'Donnell, Anna Villamor and Margaret Devine. Cass is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who mourn the loss of this special woman. Farewell Tribute Relatives and friends are invited to attend Cass' viewing on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 after 8:30 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM in Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick's R. C. Church, Cooper Street, Woodbury. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.
