Catherine Updike “Cathy” Reed, 67, wife of Clyde Reed, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021. A native of Versailles, she was born on October 2, 1953 to the late Ollie and Minnie Baxter Updike. She retired from the Fayette County Board of Education and was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Stephen (Ashley) Reed and Joseph (Ann) Reed, both of Versailles; her grandchildren, Piper Reed, Tyler and Sydney Green, Caleb Reed, Jessica Keene, and Taylor and Griffin Phillips; as well as her 3 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Caleb Reed, Stephen Reed, Tyler Green, Emmanuel Ramirez, Dayvione Ramirez, and Joseph Reed. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill.
