SPRINGFIELD — R. Catherine Shuster of Springfield died Aug. 12 of age-related causes. She was 89. A private family graveside service is planned at Springfield Memorial Gardens.She was born Oct. 12, 1922, in Klamath Falls to Raymond and Sarah Scofield Cookingham.She married John Shuster on June 18, 1950, in Salem.She attended Willamette University before graduating from Sacred Heart Nursing School in 1952.She worked as a registered nurse, working in various Oregon cities until her retirement.She also worked as a home health and senior care nurse.Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Randee Blomquist of Springfield; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove’s at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Springfield
