Catherine L Wheeler

Catherine L. Sarine Wheeler of Summerville SC, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, Aug 22, 2023 at home in Agape Hospice Care surrounded by her husband, family and friends. She was born May 17, 1941 to the late Victorine and Ida V. Sarine of Moncks Corner SC. Catherine is also known as HONEY by most and NeNe by the great grands. She lived in Moncks Corner and Summerville SC as well as Chamblee, Roswell and Gainesville GA. She worked in many vocations throughout her life including a property manager and an Olin Mills consultant but her main vocation was loving her family with delicous southern cooking and filipino cuisine. Food is "love" in this family by the matriarch, Honey. She was happiest when everyone was enjoying her cooking. She was preceded in death by her son Greg G. Peralta in 1989. Two brothers Victorine and Felix Sarine. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Fred Wheeler, Summerville SC. She leaves cherished loving memories to two daughters Karen (George) Abdon of Goose Creek SC, Susan Peralta Ramey of Loganville GA: two sons: Crispolo (Cubby and CC) Peralta, and Jeff Peralta both of Summerville area; one stepdaughter Wendy Wheeler and stepson Fred Wheeler; 11 adult grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a host of neices and nephews. Honey also has 5 surviving siblings: Bob (Cookie) Sarine, Domie (Libby) Sarine, Elli (Larry) Winnik, Alex (Rhonda) Sarine and Jerry Sarine. Honey loved to collect and give jewelry away. She also loved to cook and teach any grand how to cook. Always a smile on her face when you entered her kitchen. No such thing as a stranger in her home. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 1:00, First Church of God on Hwy 78.
