Cathy H. Hunt

Cathy H. Hunt, 66, passed away at her home in Rotonda West, Florida on June 9, 2018. Born on December 3, 1951 in Youngstown, Cathy grew up in Boardman, Ohio. While attending the Boardman schools, she became active in the various bands and orchestras, becoming a very accomplished pianist. Cathy attended Mount Union College and The Ohio State University, where she first met her husband of nearly 40 years. She remained a lifelong fan of the Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians and the Browns. Her strong love for animals led her to work in several animal clinics and hospitals before starting a 25-year career at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. She loved to travel and was quite the planner. Always an avid reader, she never lost her thirst for knowledge. After retirement, she relocated to beautiful South West Florida, a dream come true. Cathy was the oldest daughter of the late Dr. Robert and Lucile (Tomason) Heaver. She is survived by her loving husband: Dan Hunt; brothers: Jeff "Bear" (Sharon) Heaver and Bob (Trish) Heaver; sisters: Nancy Heaver, Laurie Heaver; many nieces and nephews; and many close and dear friends from across the country.
