Cathy Jo Wood

Cathy Jo Wood was born on February 24th 1965 in Olathe Kansas. Cathy left us on May 22nd at her home in Satellite Beach Fl with a multitude of family and friends supporting her. As many of you know, she had been battling cancer for many years. She is now with her mother Barbra Quiry, father William Wood, sister Gerry Kerns, and nephew Shawn Wood. Cathy is survived by her daughter Crystal Tuck, son in-law Dominic Clapso, grandson Julian Tuck, sisters Linda Mattly and Connie Wood, and brother Tom Wood.. Along with a multitude of extended family and friends who she considered family. Cathy had an amazing spirit and was quite adventurous, the fight and conviction in what she beloved was right was rivaled by no one. Cathy dedicated her life to serving others as a waitress at That Little Restaurant. Cathy loved her customers and worked until her doctor quarantined her. She also volunteered at the Brevard sharing center and was the most dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend anyone could ask for there was no other person you would want in your corner and to have your back also the last person you would want to cross. Her hobbies included going on trips and adventures with her friends and family, planning parties, spending time with the people she cared about and of course shopping. I know Cathy would want to thank every person who was there for her, who helped her and who comforted her. We all had to bring our best around her because she would accept nothing less and we thank her for that. In lieu of flowers we are asking anyone who would like to make a donation to the South Brevard Sharing Center in her name where she and her family volunteer regularly. Her celebration of life is to be announced.
