Mr. Cecil R. McCarty, age 83 a resident of Auburndale passed away peacefully Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospice Lakeland due to heart failure. Mr. McCarty was born November 9, 1930 in Opp, Alabama to Clifford & Univie (Hall) McCarty. Cecil and his wife Ruby were Auburndale residents for 61 years coming from Alabama. He was a retired Shift Superintendent for Kraft Foods. He enjoyed sports, the outdoors & his family. He was a member of Lena Vista Baptist Church in Auburndale He was preceded in death by his parents; wife-Ruby Jewel McCarty (2012); daughter-Shirley Ann McCarty and grandson-Joey Blankenbaker. Cecil is survived by his loving family; Son: Decoven "Mac" (Denise) McCarty of Plant City 4 Daughters: Sylvia (Jerry) Blankenbaker of Lakeland Julie McCarty of Auburndale Tina (Steve) Moore of Auburndale Brandie Copeland of Auburndale Brother: TJ (Frances) McCarty of Winter Haven 2 Sisters: Betty Flowers of Lakeland Peggy (Ronnie) Jones of Auburndale 7 Grandchildren 3 Step Grandchildren 11 Great Grandchildren 2 Great Great Grandchildren
