Cecil "Pete" Clarence Petersen

Cecil Clarence "Pete" Petersen, 85, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away May 4, 2017. He was born in West Henrietta, NY to the late Clarence and Ruth (Lockwood) Petersen . Pete served in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War. He was a huge motocross fan and loved the Gamecocks as well as the Carolina Panthers. He retired as a private investigator and spent his last years living at Lake Murray. Cecil is survived by three sons, Glenn Arnold, Craig Petersen and Scott Petersen, four daughters, Teresa (Johnny) Dawkins, Cathy (Rick) Young, Michelle Hughes, Nicole (Jeff) Budd, as well as 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister Isabelle Yost as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Harold and two sisters, Ruthie Seefried and Geraldine Gilbert. Memorial services will be at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 3 PM. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior. Interment will be private.
