Cecil “Cec” LeRoy Wilson, 74, of Caldwell, Idaho passed away on December 5, 2018 at his home of natural causes. Cecil was born in Wellington, Kansas on June 3, 1944. He was raised in Twin Falls, Idaho and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1962. Immediately upon graduation he joined the United States Navy and was with the First Marine Expeditionary Force on the USS Carter Hall serving three tours to Vietnam. He was honorably discharged as an EM3 in March 1965 and attended Northwest Nazarene College graduating in 1968 with a degree in literature and physical education. He taught school and coached in Midvale and Mountain Home, Idaho. In February 1971, he became an agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In February of 1974 Cecil became an agent with the US Forest Service from which he retied after 26 years of service. Following retirement, he worked fat the Owyhee Dam in Nyssa, Oregon for nearly 10 years. Cecil loved to fish, hunt and play golf. Working at the Owyhee Dam allowed him many happy times of fishing. Cecil was a member of the Canyon Hill Church of the Nazarene, the American Legion Post 35 and VFW Post 3886. He will be sadly missed by his wife Joanne Petersen Wilson of 53 years, his daughter Beth Wilson Coyle (Jason Coyle) and their three sons Gavin, Liam and Owen; grandchildren Luke, Mackenzie, Laurel, Joel and Sophia Wilson; his brothers Ed Wilson (Kathy) and David Wilson; his aunt Doreen Sawyer; several brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Vera Wilson. In July 2018 he was preceded by his son, Travis Lee Wilson. Services to commemorate Cecil’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Canyon Hill Church of the Nazarene, 903 North Michigan Avenue, Caldwell, Idaho. Military Internment will be held at Canyon Hill Cemetery at 10:00 am prior to the 11:00 am church service.
