Cecilia "CeCe" O. Aranda

Cecilia "CeCe" O. Aranda, aged 72, of Santa Fe, NM, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, January 1st, 2020, of a lengthy illness. She was born on December 7th, 1947, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to the late Henrietta Ortega and raised by her Grandmother, Gregorita "Lita" Ortega. She attended Santa Fe High School, and graduated in 1966. She touched the lives of countless people. She lived for family! Cece kept herself busy with never ending involvement in her childrens' activities. She was active in school PTA's, volunteered her time as a cheer squad coach, Boy/Girl Scout leader/volunteer and more. Anyone that knew Cece, knew she loved the local Fiesta and was actively involved with Ballet Folklorico Spanish Dancing in Santa Fe for many years with her daughters. She and Phillip Aranda were married in Santa Fe New Mexico where they raised their four children. Cece is survived by her husband, Phillip; her son Paul Aranda; her three daughters, Jessica Richey (husband Travis), Stephanie Martinez (Larry), Janelle Garcia; her six grandchildren, Anthony, Manuel, Jadin, Preston, Especial, Caitlyn; her brother Mike Aguilar Jr. and wife Betty; her sister Erlinda Gonzales. She is further survived by nephews, nieces, many relatives and friends. A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, January 10th, 2020 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 511 Alicia Street, Santa Fe NM 87501 beginning with a 9:00AM Rosary followed by a Mass at 10:00AM. A burial is not planned at this time. Join us following the mass from 11AM to 3PM for a reception at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 833 Early Street, Santa Fe 87505.
