Chad Michael Bates, 30, of Englewood died suddenly on Saturday, August 29, 2015. He was born on March 12, 1985 in Corning, NY to Raymond and Kathleen (Peterson) Bates. Chad moved to Englewood in 2001 from Corning. He was a chef at the End Zone in Englewood, a member of the American Legion SAL Post 113 and enjoyed cooking, country music and working on his many cars. He is survived by his wife of three years: DeDra; two children: Madison Grace Bates, William Robert Bates; his parents: Kathleen and Raymond Bates of Englewood; his maternal grandmother: Madeline Welty of Corning, NY; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his most beloved grandfather: William Peterson in 2007. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
