CHARDY MAYNE BOWEN CANNON Oct 3rd 1944- Aug 29th 2014 Chardy passed August 29, 2014 due to illnesses related to Alzheimer's Disease. She would have been 70 years old on October 3rd. Chardy had a loving heart, a headstrong independent nature, and loved being with her family and friends. She loved to dance, ride her bike, walk her dog, Gidget, talk on the telephone, laugh, and celebrate any and all occasions. She especially loved being with her grandchildren and grandniece.You couldn't have had a better friend than Chardy. Born to Mary and Bill Mayne, Chardy grew up with her older siblings, Sharon and Michael in La Jolla, Walnut Creek, and Pleasant Hill, California. Chardy worked first as a key-punch operator at PG&E, then was a real estate broker, and later as a property manager in Chico where she moved to from the Bay Area to live closer to her son and his family. Chardy is survived by her: step-mother, Elizabeth Chittick and family; husband, Ed; sons, Rich (Debra), and Don Bowen; first husband, Richard Bowen; daughter-in-law, Sarina Bowen; stepsons, Rick (Lynda), Scott (Sandra), and Jeff (Tracy) Cannon; grandchildren, Katarina, Bryson, Kyden Bowen; Connor and Elliott Thurlow; Shaussa, Kaylee, Eddie, Rebecca, Chad, KaraJo, Torri, Scotti, Brenda, Brandy Cannon; great- grandchildren, Brittney, Jade, Jessie, and Sera; sister, Sharon (Bud); niece, Adrienne Thurston; grandniece, Zoe June Axtell. A celebration of Chardy's life will be held Sunday, September 14th in Novato, California. Contact 415-479-1927 for more information.
