Charlene Marian Gadde
December 7th, 1930 - February 29th, 2016
Charlene Marian Gadde of Las Vegas passed away at home on February 29, 2016 at age 85. Her parents are the late Charles and Marian Brown. Charlene was married to Harold "Hap" Gadde (dec'd) for 60 years. Harold and Charlene raised their family in Upton MA. Later, they lived in Peoria IL and Granada Hills CA before retiring to Las Vegas in 1997. Charlene attended Commerce High School in Worcester MA. She then graduated from the Registered Nursing program at Memorial Hospital, Worcester MA. Some years later, Charlene received a BSc in Nursing from Lowell University MA and then her MSc from Boston University MA. Her career included bedside, psychiatric, and administrative nursing. In 1997 Harold and Charlene moved to Sun City, Las Vegas where they made many friends and enjoyed various activities. They were active members of the Mountain View Presbyterian Church. In retirement, Charlene was a prolific artist and loved to paint people and nature, especially roses. She was also a quilter, doll maker, and decorative painter. Charlene was predeceased by her twin sister Coralyn Borglund of MA. She is survived by brother, Charles Brown, Jr. of RI; daughter Terrill of MA; son Kevin of MA; son Scott of NV; four grandchildren, Amber, Michael, Christine, Nichole; and five great grandchildren, Cassie, Vince, Morgan, Brandon, and Wes. Charlene was well loved by her family, friends, and neighbors and will be greatly missed. There will be a private memorial service. Charlene will be inurned next to her husband Harold at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
