Charles Arthur Amundson Resident of Walnut Creek October 8th, 1937 July 5th, 2014 Charles Arthur Amundson passed away on Saturday after a valiant battle with liver disease. He touched many lives with his gentle spirit and positive outlook on life. Charles was born in Mora, MN, graduated from Fenger High School in Chicago, IL and earned a degree in journalism from the University of Illinois. Charles enjoyed a 40+ year career in producing and writing in television news. He worked with NBC, WGN and KRON. He retired in 2003 and enjoyed movies, bowling, reading, relaxing with family, and sporting events. Charles is survived by his devoted children David Amundson (Lauralyn) of Concord, Elizabeth Tang (Larry) of Concord, Donald Amundson (Jennifer) of Walnut Creek and grandchildren Alyssa and Kelsey Amundson and Olivia and Charlie Tang. He is also survived by his sister Janet Nardoni of Alsip, IL. Charles wife of 40 years, Roberta, passed away in 2007. His generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him. Friends and Family are invited to a visitation on Friday, July 11th, 2014 at 9:30 am and a funeral service at 11 am at Oak Park Hills Chapel, 3111 N. Main St, Walnut Creek, CA 94597.
