Charles E.H. Beck

Beck, Charles E. H., 81, of Saint Petersburg, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Winter Garden, FL, Charlie graduated from the University of Florida, College of Law, Class of 1965, and was a member of the Florida Bar Association. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in military intelligence. Charlie was an Episcopalian and a 50 year member of the Cathedral Church of St. Peter where he served on the Vestry. He was a past president of the Sertoma Club and a former board member of the Pinellas Youth Symphony. Articulate, clever, and with a wry (some would say mischievous) sense of humor, Charlie was truly a kind and gentle man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Mattie Beck, and his sister, Muriel Long. Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty; his three sons, Casey (Ann) Beck of Clearwater, FL, Todd (Holly) Beck of Greensboro, NC, Jeff (Kristin) Beck of Bradenton, FL; his daughter, Annie (Dennis) Zuercher of St. Petersburg, FL; two brothers, George Beck and John L. (Jo) Beck, both of Windermere, FL; his sister, Aileen Dorman of Winter Garden, FL; and six grandchildren.
