Charles H. Blowers

Charles H. Blowers, 76, of Gloversville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville. His loving family by his side. Born in Northville, NY, on September 17, 1939, he is the son of the late George and Bessie Rose Blowers. A life time resident of the area Charles worked in the textile industry for many years, assembling coats and laboring in the mills. He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching the Boston Redsox play, he also enjoyed watching western shows. Charles was a member of the Kingsboro Assembly of God. Survivors include his wife, Jean Wilber whom he wed on July 1, 1972, daughters, Loretta Lewis of Gloversville and Denise Santangelo, both of Gloversville; grandsons, Greg Blowers(Cassandra), Collin Lewis and Brennon Lewis. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Luke William Blowers, Alannah- Marie Lynn Blowers and Jordan Richard Luther Blowers; a brother Robert Blowers and a sister Ruth Gifford. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Visitation will be on Monday October 12, 2015 from 10am until 12pm at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville NY 12078. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery at 1pm.
