Charles "Chuck" Edward Bowman
January 31st, 1940 - October 13th, 2018
Chuck was born on January 31st 1940, and passed away on October 13th 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife Syble, and is survived by his daughter Angie, sons Tim, Jason, Justin, and 2 grandsons. He served in the U.S. Army as a mechanic. After his military obligation was completed, he worked in wrecking yards dismantling vehicles, eventually changing careers to become a commercial truck driver. Over the span of 53 years he drove for Fisher Flour, Oro Wheat, and eventually 38 years for Safeway. He was a proud Teamster for 53 years, serving as a Shop Steward, and eventually Union President for Local 174. He was devoted to his family and friends, often putting others' needs before his own. He was a kind man that could brighten your day with a simple "Hello, how are you", or with stories about events from his life. He was a simple man that enjoyed good food, good people, shooting a round of pool, and watching football. Chuck will be missed by all. Services will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Spanaway at 1pm on Saturday October 27th. There will be a reception at the church following the service.
